- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Bacon
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the bacon strips in the pan and cook until crispy, flipping occasionally (about 4-5 minutes per side). Once done, transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
Step 2: Prepare the Bread
Spread butter evenly on one side of each bread slice. If using mayonnaise, spread a thin layer on the unbuttered side for extra crispiness. Sprinkle a pinch of garlic powder and black pepper over the buttered side for enhanced flavor.
Step 3: Assemble the Sandwich
Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, onto the skillet. Layer the cheese slices evenly on top, then add the crispy bacon. Cover with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing up.
Step 4: Grill the Sandwich
Cook the sandwich over medium-low heat for about 3-4 minutes until the bottom turns golden brown. Flip carefully using a spatula and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden brown and the cheese has fully melted.
Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
Remove the sandwich from the skillet, let it rest for a minute, then slice it in half and enjoy while warm and gooey!
