Easy to make and full of comforting flavors, they’re sure to become a family favorite! 🍎✨

Ingredients

Scale

For the Fritters:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best)

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat Your Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  • Step 2: Prepare the Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and sugar until well combined.

  • Step 3: Mix the Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth.

  • Step 4: Combine and Fold in Apples

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the diced apples gently, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.

  • Step 5: Shape and Bake

Scoop the batter onto the prepared baking sheet using a large spoon or ice cream scoop. Flatten slightly to form fritter shapes. Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  • Step 6: Prepare the Glaze

While the fritters are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk if needed.

  • Step 7: Glaze and Serve

Once the fritters have cooled slightly, drizzle or brush the glaze over the top. Let it set for a few minutes before serving.
