Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe mangoes, peeled, pitted, and diced
- 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
- ½ small red onion, finely chopped
- 1 jalapeño (or serrano pepper), seeded and minced (adjust for spice)
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
- Juice of 1–2 limes (about 2 tablespoons)
- Salt to taste (about ¼ teaspoon)
- Optional: ½ avocado, diced (for a creamy twist)
- Optional: ½ cucumber, peeled and diced (for crunch)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Mangoes
Peel and dice the ripe mangoes into small cubes. Make sure they’re soft but not mushy for the best texture.
Step 2: Chop the Veggies
Finely chop the red bell pepper, red onion, and jalapeño. Deseed the pepper if you want a milder salsa.
Step 3: Mix Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the diced mangoes, bell pepper, onion, and jalapeño. Toss gently to mix.
Step 4: Add Freshness
Squeeze lime juice over the mixture. Add chopped cilantro and salt. Mix everything until fully combined.
Step 5: Chill & Serve
Refrigerate for 15–30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld. Serve chilled for the best taste.
