Ingredients
- 1 can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls (8 rolls)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk (whole milk or any milk of choice)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- Butter (for greasing the pan)
- Maple syrup (optional, for serving)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the cinnamon rolls
Open the can of cinnamon rolls, and unroll each one. Roll them out flat with a rolling pin to make them easier to work with.
Step 2: Prepare the egg mixture
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
Step 3: Roll the cinnamon rolls
Carefully spread the filling from each cinnamon roll evenly across the flattened dough, then roll them back up.
Step 4: Coat the roll-ups
Dip each cinnamon roll in the egg mixture, making sure it’s coated on all sides.
Step 5: Cook the roll-ups
Heat a little butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the cinnamon roll-ups in the skillet and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Step 6: Coat with cinnamon sugar
In a small plate, mix the sugar and cinnamon together. Once cooked, immediately roll each French toast roll-up in the cinnamon-sugar mixture for extra sweetness.
