- 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth (or seafood broth)
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes (halved, optional)
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1/2 lemon (for fresh lemon juice)
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
Step 2: Cook the Shrimp
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Garlic Cream Sauce
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring well.
- Add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
- Let simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Step 4: Combine the Ingredients
- Return the cooked shrimp to the pan.
- Add cooked pasta and toss everything together.
- If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water gradually to loosen.
Step 5: Final Touches
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the pasta.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and cherry tomatoes (if using).
- Serve hot and enjoy!
