  • 12 oz pasta (linguine, fettuccine, or spaghetti)
  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (or seafood broth)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes (halved, optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1/2 lemon (for fresh lemon juice)

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.

Step 2: Cook the Shrimp

  1. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  3. Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Garlic Cream Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  2. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring well.
  3. Add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Let simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Step 4: Combine the Ingredients

  1. Return the cooked shrimp to the pan.
  2. Add cooked pasta and toss everything together.
  3. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water gradually to loosen.

Step 5: Final Touches

  1. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the pasta.
  2. Garnish with chopped parsley and cherry tomatoes (if using).
  3. Serve hot and enjoy!
