- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

- Black olives
- Red pepper flakes for spice
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Bread
- Spread softened butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
- Sprinkle garlic powder and Parmesan cheese on the buttered side for extra flavor.
Step 2: Assemble the Sandwich
- Place one slice of bread butter-side-down on a plate.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the unbuttered side.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Add pepperoni slices (or other toppings).
- Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Place the second bread slice on top, buttered side facing up.
Step 3: Cook the Sandwich
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
- Carefully place the sandwich in the pan.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Flip gently using a spatula and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes.
Step 4: Let It Rest
- Remove the sandwich from the pan and let it sit for 1 minute to allow the cheese to set.
Step 5: Slice and Serve
- Cut the sandwich in half diagonally for a classic look.
- Serve hot with extra pizza sauce for dipping!
