Ingredients

  • 100g Medjool dates (pitted, chopped)
  • 50g roasted pistachios (crushed)
  • 1 tbsp rose water (optional)
  • 1 pinch saffron threads (soaked in 1 tsp warm milk)
  • Edible gold leaf (for garnish, optional)
  • Sea salt flakes (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Melt Chocolate: Break chocolate into chunks. Melt in a double boiler or microwave (stirring every 20 seconds until smooth).
  2. Flavor Infusion: Stir rose water and saffron-infused milk into melted chocolate.
  3. Layer Ingredients: Pour half the chocolate into a parchment-lined tray. Sprinkle dates, pistachios, and a pinch of sea salt. Top with remaining chocolate.
  4. Decorate: Add gold leaf or extra crushed pistachios on top.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate for 2+ hours until set.
  6. Serve: Cut into bars and store in an airtight container.
