  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the chicken

Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the chicken breasts on a cutting board and season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Step 2: Cook the bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until it’s crispy. Once cooked, remove the bacon and place it on a paper towel to drain excess fat. When cooled, crumble the bacon into small pieces.

  • Step 3: Sear the chicken

Heat the olive oil in the same skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and sear each side for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. This step helps lock in the juices and flavor.

Transfer the seared chicken breasts to a baking dish. Drizzle each piece with honey mustard sauce, then sprinkle with both shredded Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese. Top with the crumbled bacon.
