Instructions
Step 1: Start by slicing your ripe avocado in half. Remove the pit and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash the avocado with a fork until it’s smooth and creamy. You can leave it a bit chunky if you prefer.
Step 2: Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread. This will help achieve that golden, crispy texture once you grill the sandwich.
Step 3: On the unbuttered side of one slice of bread, spread a generous amount of mashed avocado. Season it with a pinch of salt and pepper for added flavor. You can also add a squeeze of lemon juice if you want a slight tang.
Step 4: Layer your cheese slices over the avocado. Choose a cheese that melts well, like cheddar or mozzarella. Feel free to add more cheese if you love extra gooeyness!
Step 5: Place the other slice of bread on top, with the buttered side facing out. Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
