  • 1 hard-boiled egg, chopped (optional)
  • ¼ cup diced bell peppers (optional for crunch and color)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crab Meat

Chop the crab meat into small, bite-sized pieces. If using imitation crab, flake it with your hands or a fork for better texture. Fresh crab should be carefully inspected for shells.

Step 2: Chop the Veggies

Dice the celery, red onion, and any optional veggies such as bell peppers. Chop the parsley finely. A good balance of crunchy and soft textures makes this salad more enjoyable.

Step 3: Mix the Dressing

In a medium mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream (if using), Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until creamy and smooth.

Step 4: Combine All Ingredients
