  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F/45°C)
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

For the Filling:

  • 1 1/2 cups pepperoni slices
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • For Brushing:
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Stir and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add melted butter, egg, salt, and 2 cups of flour. Stir until combined.
  3. Gradually add the remaining flour, mixing until the dough comes together.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

Step 2: Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 3: Roll Out the Dough

  1. Punch down the risen dough and transfer it to a floured surface.
  2. Roll it out into a large rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick.

Step 4: Add the Filling

  1. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the dough.
  2. Layer the pepperoni slices on top.
  3. Sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning for extra flavor.

Step 5: Roll and Cut the Dough

  1. Starting from the long side, roll the dough tightly into a log.
  2. Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to slice it into 12 even pieces.

Step 6: Bake the Rolls

  1. Arrange the rolls on the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Brush them with melted butter mixed with garlic powder.
  3. Bake for 18-22 minutes until golden brown.

Step 7: Serve and Enjoy

  1. Remove from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack for a few minutes.
  2. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
