Ingredients
Scale
- 20–24 large pasta shells
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Olive oil (for greasing)
Instructions
- Step 1: Cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.
- Step 2: While the pasta shells are cooling, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
- Step 3: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, ricotta cheese, egg, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined.
- Step 4: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil.
- Step 5: Stuff each pasta shell with the beef and ricotta mixture, then place them into the prepared baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over the stuffed shells and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
- Step 6: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
