  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for added tang)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Brew the Tea

  1. In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a gentle boil.
  2. Remove from heat and add black tea bags (or loose-leaf tea in a tea infuser).
  3. Let it steep for 5-7 minutes for a strong flavor.
  4. Remove the tea bags and stir in honey or sugar while the tea is still warm. Allow it to cool.

Step 2: Prepare the Mango Puree

  1. Peel and chop the ripe mangoes.
  2. Blend the mango pieces with ½ cup of water until smooth.
  3. Strain the puree using a fine mesh sieve to remove any fibers.

Step 3: Mix the Tea and Mango Puree

  1. Once the tea is at room temperature, pour it into a large pitcher.
  2. Add the strained mango puree and stir well.
  3. Mix in lemon juice and vanilla extract if using.

Step 4: Chill and Serve

  1. Refrigerate the mango iced tea for at least 1 hour to enhance the flavors.
  2. Fill serving glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over them.
  3. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for a refreshing touch.
