Instructions

  1. Step 1: Rinse the dried split peas under cold water to remove any debris. Place them into the bottom of your Crockpot.
  2. Step 2: Add the diced ham, chopped onion, and chopped carrots to the Crockpot with the split peas.
  3. Step 3: Pour the chicken broth into the Crockpot, ensuring all ingredients are covered. Stir to combine.
  4. Step 4: Set the Crockpot on low and cook for 6-8 hours, or until the peas are tender and the soup has thickened. You can also set it on high for 3-4 hours if you’re short on time.
