  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1 tbsp butter (for toasting)
  • 2 slices tomato (optional)
  • 1/4 cup arugula or spinach
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for grilling, optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Your Ingredients

  • Slice the bread, tomatoes, and cheese. If you’re making homemade pesto, blend fresh basil, garlic, Parmesan, olive oil, and pine nuts in a food processor.

Step 2: Spread the Pesto

  • Spread 1 tablespoon of pesto on each slice of bread. You can also mix the pesto with mayonnaise for extra creaminess.

Step 3: Assemble the Sandwich

  • Layer the turkey slices evenly over one side. Add cheese, tomatoes, and arugula or spinach. Sprinkle a little salt and black pepper for extra flavor.
